Google Scholar Citations: The "My Citations" tab allows you to create an academic profile to monitor citations of your own articles. You must register to create a profile.

Scientific Writing: Content that helps with the preparation of academic papers.

Academic Writing provides content that helps undergraduate and graduate students write reviews, essays, articles, dissertations, theses and other academic works. The content is also useful for teachers who teach scientific research methodology courses. All material is available free of charge.

The Scientific Writing Guide for Graduate Students is a free website that provides information, tutorials, tips and forums on scientific writing and research and academic work.

The Scientific Writing Portal of USP São Carlos aims to assist in the training of writers of scientific articles by offering mini-courses focused on the structuring and language of scientific documents, writing support tools, management of bibliographic references, publishing and related topics.

  • Online dictionary

The Aulete Digital Dictionary provides three major contents: the Caldas Aulete dictionary of the Portuguese language, the Analog Dictionary (Thesaurus) by Francisco Ferreira dos Santos Azevedo, and a basic Grammar of the Portuguese language by Celso Cunha.

The Priberam Dictionary of the Portuguese Language (DPLP) is a dictionary of contemporary Portuguese, whose nomenclature includes general vocabulary as well as the most common terms in the main scientific and technical areas. The DPLP contains, whenever relevant, information on the spelling and usage differences between European Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese at the end of each entry. It allows the translation of a significant number of words and expressions into Spanish, French and English. 

Dicio is a dictionary of contemporary Portuguese, an essential tool for understanding, using and studying the Portuguese language. Comprising over 400 thousand words, it provides: definition, grammatical classification, etymology, syllabic division, plural, synonyms, antonyms, verbal transitivity, verb conjugation and rhymes.

Orthographic Vocabulary of the Portuguese Language (VOLP) The search system contains 381,000 entries, their respective grammatical classifications and other information as described in the Orthographic Agreement. 

 The Online Portuguese Rhyming Dictionary allows you to find words that contain special characteristics to fit them into poems and musical compositions. It is connected to a database with more than 1 million words in Brazilian Portuguese and allows you to search by the beginning or ending of words.
